We are a group of 240 friends who share their passion for kites, having as its mission to promote kite building and flying during the whole year.
We began our meetings in 1997, and kept holding them every Sunday morning by the Río de la Plata riverside. This place provides the conditions for developing our activity comfortably, with almost constant wind and room for everybody.
Together, we give free rein to ingeniousness and creativeness in the construction of very different models, from the simplest ones to surprising designs and structures.
... And there they fly, simple, classical models built by children and young people, by their parents, by beginners and enthusiasts, together with big models, painted by artists or by those who –though being so- are not aware of it.

Gente Activa SRL - Alto Vuelo Cometas Deportivas
In 1994, a bit for pleasure and a bit for curiosity, we built hand-made kites for personal use and at our friends’ request. The great acceptance and diffusion that our creations got made us seriously consider the possibility of doing business out of our vocation.
Thus, we started to work out the idea of manufacturing and retailing typical and acrobatic kites massively. This initiative obliged us to study, investigate and develop more perfect models for recreational, sportive and promotional use.
At present, Alto Vuelo family is formed by 14 professionals (seamstresses – cutters – assemblers – test pilots – administrative staff – advisors) who, during these 11 years of continuous work, have seen the gradual development of this fantastic activity till nowadays, when for some of them it has become a healthy addiction.
Our values are based on continuous improvement in every aspect, and every day we work for achieving so. It is for this reason that we support all initiative related to this wholesome activity, and wish that many others would join us to become the wind-friendly Great Family. More info.
